Our workshops align with the Australian Curriculum: Music, focusing on aural development, performance, improvisation, and music technology.
Aural Skills & Rhythm
Students learn foundational beatboxing sounds and rhythmic patterns, developing their listening and imitation skills through guided exploration of sound and rhythm.
They practise recognising, copying, and creating rhythmic ideas using voice and body percussion.
(ACAMUM080, ACAMUM084)Performance & Confidence
Students are encouraged to perform rhythmic patterns and beatbox sequences for their peers in a supportive environment, building musical confidence and performance skills.
(ACAMUM088)Texture, Timbre & Sound Creation
Through beatboxing and vocal experimentation, students explore texture and timbre, invent their own sounds, and learn how different layers interact musically.
They create and record original material using a loop-station, gaining hands-on experience with music technology.
(ACAMUM092)Improvisation & Creative Expression
Improvisation is central to all workshops, and especially the Looping Masterclass.
Students improvise using their voice or instruments, record their ideas live, and layer them with their own or their peers’ recordings to build collaborative musical pieces.
This process develops creativity, responsiveness, and ensemble awareness.
